Three Questions
1-DT: Giovanni, What inspires you?
GL: I’m inspired by the goodness within the human race. That goodness that resides in all of us, the light that is described in all religions. Also, doing good for others and seeing all levels of each being is inspiring to me as well. So, I try to walk through life in a non-judgment state of mind.
2-DT: Talk about your passion(s)?
GL: The human story, I am very passionate about. That’s why I’m in the career I’m in as an actor and director. I want to give many stories a voice, It's part of my story and trajectory.
To me, as a kid, I would always ask, what if…rather it was an interaction or through the art of cinema. As well as the endless windows and doors we can walk through in life.
I was very inspired by movies and it has fueled my passions.
3-DT: What’s your purpose?
GL: (He exhales) My purpose as a human being is to continually learn, understand what it means to be in other people's shoes, share, and always expand.
Part of my purpose is to tell “my/our” stories especially during the political times we are in, covid19, and this time in history.
I hope to give back to humanity to inspire others to be more compassionate and empathetic.
Acknowledging the kindness of others, as a child, angels paying for my acting classes makes me grateful and want to give back in some way, somehow. I think this is my purpose.
